Motion Amplification- Vibration Analysis

Motion Amplification® is a technique that uses proprietary video and image processing to detect subtle motion and make it visible to the naked eye to understand the interrelationships and causes creating the motion. As industrial equipment, machinery, and other components operate, they often produce very small vibrations and movements. These vibrations are so small that they cannot be detected with the human eye. However, as pieces of machinery vibrate, components can become misaligned, imbalanced, loose, cracked, or worse. Such movement reduces efficiency, harms equipment, and can build up to catastrophic damage. By using a Motion Amplification® camera and software, it is possible to detect such tiny movements and understand their effects. Motion Amplification® technology uses digital video and image processing techniques to measure vibration and movement pixel-by-pixel, extracting and scaling up data to produce a visual representation of movement.
